Why am I, Jill, in this photo with a bunch of hoes I do not like? This is a cry for help.
Recently, a ridiculous rumor has spread that Kalani Hilliker and Jojo, from the iconic show Dance Moms (2011-2019), have started dating. While I can confirm that this is, unfortunately, true, I do not have to be happy about it.
Jojo has said many times over the years that she has a “crush” on Kalani, which I don’t really understand. If she were to like anyone from the cast, it should be my little Kendall because she is perfect. I would never, however, approve of that relationship either, because Jojo is crazy. Jojo and Kalani are not even in the same stratosphere as my little Kendall.
I would also like to settle the issue of Kendall and my status on the team. Kendall and I are OGs— we are original members. The fact that we joined in season two should not invalidate that; she only joined one season late. We will always consider ourselves OGs.
Kendall was such an important member of the team. Remember that time Kendall placed second to Maddie at nationals? Or the time she got the magazine cover? Kendall did so many great things; the team would not have won as many times as they did without her.
Secondly, Kendall is definitely not a brat. She only cried so much because everyone was awful to her and me. I truly do not understand why all the moms and fandom were so upset when I wanted Kendall to play the role of Rosa Parks instead of Nia. Kendall deserved the role more, and I wanted her to have a special part for once. Why does it matter that it was Rosa Parks? She should've gotten it over Nia.
While we’re on the topic of Nia and the whole Rosa Parks debacle, I think it was really wrong of Nia to pursue music when she knew that’s what my little Kendall wanted. Obviously, Nia is not as good a singer as Kendall is. Nia comes in second to everything Kendall does. I’m not saying this to be mean, but it’s just the truth.
I also would like to address the rumors of a feud between Ashlee and Brynn. Ashlee is an awful person. Kendall had every right to yell at her; I wouldn't even call it yelling— it was more like she was expressing herself. Ashlee has always tried to put down my daughter, and I have been nothing but nice to Brynn. Brynn and Ashlee were overstepping by trying to make Brynn the new Maddie when Kendall was the obvious choice.
As for being called a “studio hopper”— this is simply not true. Who cares if I jumped between Studio 19, Candy Apples, and Abby Lee Dance Company (ALDC)? Kendall spent the most time at ALDC; therefore, she and I are not studio hoppers. I want what’s best for my little Kendall, and if that means going behind the team’s back, I will do so.
We bought Abby so many gifts over the years to show our appreciation for her— not because I was sucking up to her. In return, I just wanted Abby and Gianna to give Kendall special parts because Kendall is the most deserving girl in that studio. I don’t know why the moms think I’m kissing up to Abby when all I did was hire masseuses, buy a custom bench, Chanel perfume, and more for her.
In the end, I assume that Jojo will make a song about me, possibly titled “Jill Vertes is a Bitch,” and honestly, I couldn’t care less. The music video will probably feature Kalani dancing in the background, even though that should be my little Kendall.
