On Tuesday, Oct. 15, two of the league's most recognizable receivers were traded. Former Las Vegas Raiders receiver Davante Adams was traded to the New York Jets, and former Cleveland Browns Receiver was traded to the Buffalo Bills. These names went from two of the worst teams in the NFL to true AFC East competitors on the same day. These deals took place exactly three weeks before the NFL trade deadline, so what does this mean for both teams, and what other possible moves might occur before the Nov. 5 trade deadline?

Although the 2024-25 National Hockey League (NHL) year has just started, many teams are underperforming and leaving fans worried about what the rest of the season will be like already. Those three teams are the Edmonton Oilers, the Colorado Avalanche, and the Nashville Predators.

In the American League (AL), the stalwart Yankees will face an upstart and young Kansas City Royals team. The other series in the AL is between a gritty Detroit Tigers team and the reigning AL Central division winner, Cleveland Guardians. The National League (NL) features two rivalry matchups, with the New York Mets heading to Philadelphia to play the Phillies and a West Coast showdown between the San Diego Padres and the LA Dodgers. All four of these matchups will be tremendous, and in this article, we will preview each matchup to try and predict the winner of each series.

This past week, The SUNY Geneseo Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreation announced the creation of Women’s Flag Football as an official National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) sport for 2025.

This past Monday, Sept. 28, the Women’s soccer team played a hard game against Russell Sage, coming out of it with a 0-0 tie. With 274 spectators in attendance, the Geneseo Knights put on a good show and left it all out on the field. The Knights came out hot at the start of the first period with long-term possession of the ball, traveling up the field to gain yards before attempting to sink the ball into the net.

Washington Capitals hockey captain and left wing Alex Ovechkin finished the 2023-24 season with 853 career goals, putting him just 42 goals away from breaking one of the most impressive career goals you can make as a National Hockey League (NHL) player: Wayne Gretzky’s all-time career record of 894 goals. This 2024-25 season could be the year that Ovechkin finally breaks the record.
