Invasion of Privacy: Elisabeth Schumacher
A self-proclaimed “southsider at heart” and senior childhood special education major Elisabeth Schumacher has served as the Lamron’s public relations manager for the past three semesters. Unfortunately for our staff at The Lamron, Schumacher is graduating and joining the adult world.
The return of Full Circle
Monday, Sept. 25, marked the return of The Lamron and WGSU’s media collaboration Full Circle. Full Circle is a radio show that not only highlights stories from the Geneseo newspaper The Lamron, but also includes news on a national and international level.
Invasion of Privacy: Mat Johnson
If you have seen videos on one of Geneseo’s official social media platforms, they have almost definitely come from one person—Mat Johnson. Johnson has been the video producer within the office of college communications and marketing for over five years. But what if I told you that Johnson originally started his career as a zookeeper?
The Lamron and WGSU: A collaboration years in the making
As many of our readers know, The Lamron was founded in 1922, but something you may not know is that radio station 89.3 WGSU was established only 40 years later and was intended to appeal to the same audience. WGSU has a signal with about a 25-mile radius and The Lamron distributes papers on the SUNY Geneseo campus and Main Street. WGSU and The Lamron have been operating parallel to each other since WGSU was first licensed in 1963, but there is no record of any sort of collaboration—until now.
Personal posters: A new take on connecting with people
Some new and interesting posters have popped up around the Geneseo campus and no one seems to know quite where they came from. There are two variations of the posters that appeared in early Feb., both containing the following elements: photos of a college-aged male, a short and strange bio, and a phone number and Snapchat username. One variation of the poster is dedicated to a person named “Evan O’Connor,” and the other to a “Cameron Block.”
Invasion of Privacy: Owen Vincent
For the past three years, Owen Vincent has been an integral part of The Lamron. As for the past three semesters, we have been lucky enough to have him as our News Editor. Unfortunately, we are at the end of an era, and Vincent has chosen to step down from his position in order to dedicate more time to his studies and potential career opportunities.

On Saturday, Oct. 29, the Black Student Union (BSU) hosted a Haunted House in the Union ballroom; the haunted house is an annual attraction that provides a safe, spooky Halloween activity for Geneseo students.

Here is some information that will help you begin your journey with the Study Abroad program here at Geneseo.
