Josh Allen Retires at 26
After not making it to Superbowl LIV, Josh Allen was discouraged and depressed. He has since decided that his career as a National Football League (NFL) quarterback is over. The Buffalo Bills made it to the playoffs, won against the Miami Dolphins, and then lost to the Cincinnati Bengals who went on to play the Kansas City Chiefs, who then won the Super Bowl. Allen announced through his Instagram on Monday, Mar. 27 that he is retiring to pursue his newfound passion for making and selling soap. He claimed in his post that the loss was embarrassing enough to encourage him to find new hobbies, and he has since decided that the only way to move forward in his life is to venture into the art of soap-making.
Allen went on a soap retreat last month and has spent a lot of time with the art, which forced an epiphany. After five years in the National Football League and being the seventh overall pick of the 2018 National Football League draft, this young and talented quarterback has made the tough decision to leave the sport and his team. Allen threw a total of 35 touchdowns, 4,283 yards, and completed 14 interceptions in the 2022 season prior to hanging up his helmet.
Allen had many successes with his team after his breakout season in 2020 as he led the Bills to their first division title and playoff triumph since 1995 and was named Fantasy Player of the Year in 2020. Alas, the sweet smell of homemade soap infatuated young Allen and forced him to end his successful career and enter into a creative field that seems to be more enticing.
A month-long process of creating and making unique designs and scents has led to them being available for purchase through his website www.allensellssoap.com. You can preorder his products for as little as $150 per ounce of soap. Allen has joined the Handcrafted Soap and Cosmetic Guild and will be attending their Annual Conference on May 4. His most famous scents are Bengals Breeze, Chestnut Chiefs, Vanilla Bean Vikings, Green Tea Texans, Citrus Seahawks, and of course, Bourbon Bills.
Allen’s long-term girlfriend also ended things with him after his decision, so this now-former NFL star is single and up for grabs, and at least we know he smells good. It is rumored that his love for soap and soap-making stemmed from his childhood imaginary best friend who he would often create concoctions of various scents found throughout his cotton farm. You can also find him on TikTok @allensscentsastionalsoap where he teaches you how to make your own soap.
The theme for his soaps is titled “The Scents of the National Football League” which represent Allen's FORMER association with the NFL teams. Allen studied the sciences at Wyoming University where he played for their football team. Allen plans to use his degree in social science to study the interaction between humans and soap chemistry.
