Hot chocolate for cold nights

As we continue to go through the winter months, students will be looking for easy recipes that warm them up on the colder, snowy days. Here is a recipe for hot chocolate that will warm you up and is easy to make in a microwave.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar

  • 1 tablespoon of baking cocoa

  • 1 cup of milk

  • ¼ teaspoon of vanilla extract

Step 1:

Stir together sugar and cocoa in a large, microwave-safe mug. Stir in a few tablespoons of milk to make a smooth paste; stir in remaining milk.

Step 2:

Microwave on HIGH (100%) power for 1 minute; stir. Microwave for a few seconds longer or until hot. Stir in vanilla extract.
