Ice Knights continue their undefeated season with dominant wins over Brockport and Canton

The Geneseo Ice Knights went 2-0 over the weekend with wins over SUNY Brockport and Canton University. The game against Brockport took place on Friday, Nov. 3, with the Ice Knights winning the contest 6-2. The game against Canton took place the next night, with Geneseo winning 4-1 in another dominant outing. The team is now 4-0 on the season, having won all three games at the Ira S. The Ice Knights got off to another hot start in the first period of the game against their SUNYAC rival, Brockport. While on the man advantage, junior forward Cooper Fensterstock blasted one past Brockport's goalie for the early lead. The Golden Eagles would strike back with a goal at 14:40 of the first period.

Geneseo responded early in the second period with a goal from graduate student Alex Wilkins four minutes in. Wilkins' goal provided senior forwards Jared Thomas and Zach Rehbaum with assists. The Ice Knights rode that momentum with freshman sensation Luke Panchisin finding the back of the net for the third consecutive game.

Brockport went on to score nine minutes into the second period to make it a one-goal game once more. However, Geneseo continued to pour it on with Stefan Miklakos making it 4-2 16 minutes into the second period.
