Frugal Foodie: Ham and cheese omelet

Eating any sort of breakfast as a college student is great, but eating a breakfast full of protein can be extremely beneficial. This ham and cheese omelet recipe is packed full of protein while still serving as a delicious breakfast. This recipe can be shared, or work as an energizing recipe for one! 

Ingredients:

-6 large eggs

-1 ½ tablespoons milk 

-½ cup cooked ham 

-½ cup cheddar cheese 

-1 tablespoon of salted butter 

-salt and pepper to taste

-(optional 1 tablespoon chopped parsley leaves) 

Directions: 

Step 1: Crack the eggs into a large mixing bowl and beat them together well. Add the milk, parsley leaves, ham, cheese, salt, and pepper into the bowl. Mix all the ingredients until combined well.

Step 2: Heat the butter in a skillet over high heat until melted. Once melted, pour the egg mixture directly into the skillet. Reduce the heat to medium and slowly cook the omelet. 

Step 3: Cook the omelet to your preference, either folded or flat. Place on a plate and enjoy!
