the pores on the soft, round thing,
slice around the outside and peel the edges,
peel it all at once and keep it together,
you must keep it all together.
a sweet metallic citrus smell seeps out.
be gentle.
the inside is soft and weak,
she’s spilling everywhere,
don’t hurt Her.
rip Her apart, make it quick.
She is a mess.
tear away those chunks of meat
bite into the flesh
chew and swallow it,
suckling out all the juice
when you are done, you decide.
will you wear this outer layer?
will you be brave enough?
to bare Her skin,
to understand.
to allow yourself to be mutilated.
to give yourself up.
it is not enough to have empathy.
it is your obligation,
you must be Her.
become Her.
