“and there’s the moon,thinner than a watchspring” - e. e. cummings

When you’re tired and hungry and

you don’t know where to look, there’s

always the reflection of your sickly pin-straight soul on the

lake. Go on, paddle paddle to the full pizza pie moon

in the center. Your grandmother will beg you to eat, say you’re thinner

than thin, skinnier than

skin. What, are you frightened yet? Scared to be seen as a

skeleton through a ticking clock? Hyoid for minute hand? Stapes for watchspring?
