Upcoming Star Wars Shows

Still absorbing the tense finale of The Book of Boba Fett from early February, fans are eagerly awaiting new Star Wars content. Despite the Skywalker Saga ending with the release of The Rise of Skywalker in December 2019, there is still a myriad of new TV shows to be enjoyed—all to be released on Disney+.

Obi-Wan Kenobi - May 27, 2022

This long-anticipated six-part miniseries, starring Ewan McGregor and featuring Hayden Christensen, will follow the legendary Jedi Master five years after the devastating events of Revenge of the Sith.

Andor - Mid-2022

Starring Diego Luna and Alan Tudyk, this show will feature Rebellion Captain Cassian Andor from Rogue One and his sardonic droid K-2SO in a prequel story.

The Mandalorian, Season 3 - 2022

This award-winning series, starring Pedro Pascal, will be returning this year for a third season, continuing the adventures of Din Djarin and his adventures through the galaxy.

The Bad Batch, Season 2 - 2022

This animated series, directly following the success of the final season of The Clone Wars in 2020, centers around a team of modified clone troopers finding their way in a rapidly changing galaxy. Its second season was confirmed as the first one was being released.

Ahsoka - TBA

Just as highly anticipated as the Kenobi show, if not more so, this limited series follows exiled Jedi Ahsoka Tano and Mandalorian artist Sabine Wren of Star Wars Rebels fame, portrayed respectively by Rosario Dawson and Natasha Liu Bordizzo. This show will also feature Hayden Christensen and Mena Massoud.

The Acolyte - TBA

Little is known about this upcoming series. It has been announced as “a mystery thriller that will take us into a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging Dark Side powers in the final days of the High Republic era.”

Lando - TBA

The long-beloved Star Wars smuggler Lando Calrissian, a hero of the original trilogy, will finally be earning his own individual spot in the greater canon with a show focused on him with a promise of “irresistible swagger.”

Rangers of the New Republic - TBA

Following the acclaim of The Mandalorian, this series has been confirmed to be interconnected with the aforementioned show, set in the years following the fall of the Empire and foundation of the New Republic.
